I met Wendy at church youth group and we became friends instantly. Wendy was the type of person who accepted you for who you were. She had this quality about her that conveyed genuine interest in whatever was going on in your life, no matter how trivial. I loved Wendy because I could count on her. When we were in high school I could always bet that Wendy would be at church when I got there. She was like one of the pack--involved in every possible activity. Whether it was a mission trip, Disciple Now, UMYF, or Share Group, I always knew i could count on Wendy to show up and hang out with me. Wendy was truly an amazing person. She had insight beyond her years, even in high school. I remember in Share Group one time she was talking about a dream she had, and then came up with this wild story about how symbolic it was in relating to her life. I admired Wendy for her depth and her caring spirit. She gave so much to every person she met. I miss her and love her so much.
