one of the first times i hung out with wendy, i asked her what the name wendy meant. she told me she didn't know, but she'd find out. the next time i talked to her, she told me that it was created for the story 'peter pan'. the author's daughter had an imaginary friend named 'fwendy' and thus came the name wendy for the story. anytime we talked after that, she was known to me as fwendy - and she always will be.
