as christmas gets nearer and nearer i find myself enveloped in memories of christmas past. i have come to realize that i am greatly remiss in sending a thank you for one of the greatest christmas presents that i have ever been fortunate enough to reap the benefits of...that being the bread maker which wendy conned her parents into buying for her one year. she got it when we lived together in austin and it was so wonderful. i can not explain how much we all enjoyed that bread maker.
we all teased her...what a strange thing for a college student to ask for for christmas. not money, not a trip, not new clothes, but a breadmaker? she told us all to just watch...we would soon be eating our words. she was right. the funny thing is that none of us could ever seem to make bread that was any good, except for wendy that is.
so, i am now sending my thanks to honey gene and beth for giving wendy that bread maker. all of us...courtnay, dave, sean, and i send our belated appriecation. while this may seem silly...and i confess i am giggling as i type...every time i remember wendy and get to laugh, i think about how blessed i really am to know a chick like her. andrea
p.s. the story of honey gene and (not honey) beth is a pretty good one too...but i will save that one for another time. until then...
