I was just visiting the website (as I frequently do) and rereading the messages. Sometimes during more difficult moments, these messages ease the pain. I always knew how special Wendy was but to see the messages and memories from all who write --it helps!! Wendy is ever present in our hearts, minds and lives. I laugh, I cry, I remember. I walk around the corner to visit with Wendy. I see momentos left for her by her friends that live nearby. I listen to the windchime we placed in the crepe myrtle tree on her birthday. I visualize the 100 balloons we all set free on her birthday. I think of all of those around the world who joined us in that celebration honoring Wendy and her cousin Debbie. I think about the birthdaycake one of her dear friends made for her on her birthday. I think of the memories we all shared back at our house on her birthday. I think of the people that Wendy touched. I think of the people who touched Wendy. I think of her drums, guitars, keyboard, songs, writings, art created and those works in progress. Most of all, I see her love, her wonderful "light up the sky" smile, hear her consumate laugh and long to feel her hugs. Karen, Gene and I miss those things. I know all of you miss those things. I sit and wonder "why" -- none of us should have to be this strong!

I thank all of you who spread the spirit that is Wendy around this world. I thank all of you who share that spirit with our family. It does sustain us during this time and the time that is ahead for us. Wendy's college is putting up a multimedia exhibition of her work that will be shown in the main gallery on campus and remain installed through graduation at which time Wendy's degree will be awarded. Wendy, working through each and every one of us, will continue to make a difference on this earth! My love to all.
