I wrote a song called "Youthful Indiscretion" when I was in college that helped me to deal with the heartache I witnessed on so many fronts as my view of the world broadened. It's a difficult song to sing because it evokes the memories of the events which inspired it. The final verse deals with the terrible violence kids face today. I'll never be able to sing the song again without feeling the sorrow of this moment. I never had the chance to meet Wendy, but I know her parents, Gene & Beth - they've been friends with my parents for many years. I wish I could have known her. She was beautiful. The loving memories described on this site echo that beauty. I'm so sorry for your loss.
