We've all been together in LA for Wendy's graduation. It's been a difficult weekend, but we're making it despite everything. It was hard to be around all the happy parents when our graduate wasn't within hugging distance. But the graduation ceremony was beautiful! We released white balloons (three with lipstick kisses all over them) when her name was called. Karen, dressed in red, went up to accept Wendy's diploma. There was a pause in the ceremony, and her entire class stood to clap and cheer. She got her standing ovation. We did things Wendy would have loved, like wearing rhinestone W lapel pins, crystal diamond tattoos, and the purple-azoid, Jessica's newly acquired purple gemstone ring, inspired by Wendy. We reveled in glitter, and made Wendy appropriate jokes. We had a wild fourteen person dinner at Buca de Beppo, and had a sing a long in the car on the ride home. Did you know that when Wendy was little, she would mix up the words to Zip a dee Do da? She would say- plenty of sunshine getting in my way...! The best has been all the lounge-about-the-living-room together time we've had. We also been doing Tarot Card readings for each other and Wendy has been making an appearance. She is definitely here in spirit. Congratulations Wendy! (can you believe it!?!!!)
