I walked into work today depressed for many reasons. I sat down at my desk and started to read the Dallas Morning News before doing my job. That is when I first heard of Wendy. I never met Wendy nor had I heard of the tragedy. If so, I would have been a part of the celebration. I am a black single parent of 3 girls. Often depressed because of lack of funding to educate them but then I read about how Wendy made such a difference. I have a 14, 12 and 4 month old and all 3 have beautiful personalities. It appears that Wendy loved life and people yet her life was taken so soon and without warning. Thanks for sharing with us. I hope that my girls can be just as loving as Wendy but it starts with me. I'm going to periodically read her web site it has truly given me hope. I hate I missed the celebration; I'm sure she's smiling. We lost a relative that was murdered by a drunk driver on my birthday and I was reminded of his life after reading Wendy's story. He graduated from Bishop Lynch and every year a scholarship is given in his honor. They both were beautiful kids that gave a lot to society. Karen you are a very loving person, I wish the family the best. Once again, thanks for sharing.
