It's amazing how one tragedy leads me to another. I had called a friend of mine in New York City (whom I hadn't spoken to in 4 years) to make sure she was ok after the terrorist incident, only to learn of Wendy's passing. I graduated from Hockaday's sister school, St. Mark's, back in 1996, and had the privelege of being directed by her in the Sartre play, "No Exit". It was the final play I have ever done, and chose it because it was challenging and because I knew I would be working with her. I was amazed at how passionately she felt about her work and the arts, and will forever remember her as a creative, dedicated, and caring person. I wish all the best for her family and friends.
