When I came out of a movie tonight, I took a cab home and happened to see my roommate and her boyfriend walking down the street. They happened to be going to the grocery store, and I happened by at that time. And so it happened that I spent the first few minutes of our birthday at midnight, in a grocery store, which is just how Wendy would have wanted it!
