I think Wendy would be proud of me today. In high school, I always used to tease her about how difficult it was for her to turn in papers on time. Being the tight ass that I am, I never would have turned in anything late without feeling a large and ridiculous amount of self loathing. I'm in Paris now, and this week I was supposed to turn in a thirty page thesis in French based on the research I was supposed to be doing at my internship. But the last few months I have been living it up like a real Parisian and finding happiness here in ways I never imagined, instead of being chained to my desk stressing over something that, in this particular case, has absolutely importance in my life. And that is something Wendy taught me--how to live, in the moment, without fear, without always sticking to what we SHOULD be doing. Wendy showed me, through her example, how to realize what's really important in life, how to live outside the boundaries and on my own terms. So Weds, I know you're happy for me today. That I finally learned to chill out and take it easy and and do what makes me happy instead of doing what everyone has told me I should be doing. And when, inevitably, I start to worry and wonder, I am going to think of you, and how you were a success because you never stopped living and feeling life to the fullest, every minute of everyday. I miss you Weds, and I love you so much.
