I wrote a message earlier, straight from the heart and it didn't even post. I can't re-create it so I will say something different. Two people inspired me to write, and those two people were Wendy Soltero and Ms. Tong. I never thought that I was any good at writing and Ms. Tong and Wendy somehow saw otherwise. It wasn't til I wrote a peice on Aids that Wendy encouraged me to write. We weren't the best of friends and we weren't really close, but we were very cool. Wendy use to make me hold her hands sometimes when she read her poetry. The thing is Wendy reached out to a lot of people in different ways and she had many special relationships with the most random group of people, and I was one of them. I will always remember Wendy, and even more so because it was the day after my birthday that her spirit became stronger. So when ever I celebrate my birthday, I will always have a moment of silence for Wendy. Thanks for making english class enjoyable and fun, and thanks for being unique. Certain people have the ability to transend all cultural lines an see through to the heart and the spirit of others, and Wendy was able to do that. Just look at all the postings, so many different people.
